This October, me and my daughters are heading for Dubai.
A lovely friend has invited us to stay and we really can’t wait. It looks amazing. It’s so good for us to have this to look forward to and my daughters can’t believe their luck.

So I was delighted to be asked to write about Dubai on behalf of Dubai Tourism and to help people learn more about its culture, history and attractions through the video above.
A spokeswoman says: “Dubai’s culture is rooted in Islam, providing a strength and inspiration that touches all aspects of everyday life. Dubai offers a wide variety off attractions for visitors, whether it is the tranquillity of the desert you are looking for or the liveliness of the souk. There is also a wide variety of scenery in a very small area, which means that in just one day you can experience everything from rugged mountains and awe-inspiring sand dunes to sandy beaches and lush green parks, from dusty villages to luxurious residential districts and from ancient houses with wind towers to ultra-modern shopping malls.”
Activities available include camel and horse racing, mosque tours and visits to the old parts of Dubai.
Landmarks highlighted are Ski Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, the World, the Al Maha Resort, Buri Al Arab, Buri Dubai and Armani Hotel.
