It may sound incredibly simplistic, but one of my favourite things to do with my family is to get out in the fresh air and walk.

We love to go to Cannock Chase, which includes some great planned walks, where in one or two places, you’ll find some interesting sculptures.

Ready for Ten writer Kath Horwill rounded up a selection of places where families can enjoy sculpture on a wider scale.

She says:

If your kids are reluctant to head outside for a walk, sculpture parks and trails are a great way of making an outdoor jaunt more exciting. With something exciting around every corner, these innovative places make a great day out and may well inspire some artistic activity when you get home.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park

We recently took a trip to Yorkshire Sculpture Park and were blown away. It’s a vast place and the views alone are spectacular, even without the addition of amazing works by the likes of Barbara Hepworth, Antony Gormley and Henry Moore.
