CORNBURY PARK32 300x200 Win a family pass to the Wilderness FestivalLooks beautiful, doesn’t it?  This is the setting for the aptly named Wilderness Festival , a new multi-arts festival which is set among the parklands and ancient forests of the exquisite Cornbury Estate in Oxfordshire.

The three-day event takes place between August 12th and 14th, and includes a whole host of family activities,  with children’s workshops, theatre, music and  a dedicated children’s area, which promises to keep the youngsters entertained all weekend.

For their parents, there’s music from a range of bands, including Anthony and the Johnsons, Mercury Rev and the Guillemots, to name but a few, banquets each night led by a renowned chef, as well as a boutique baby-sitting service.

The festival is free for anyone aged 10 and under, though tickets for adults which include camping for the whole weekend, are available for £99.50 each, and there’s family tickets from £250.

But one lucky family will be going free, as we have a family pass to give away. To enter, leave a comment below, telling us what you like the sound of about this festival – be it the setting, music or family friendly vibe.

Have never been to a Festival before and would love to go as a family, spending quality time with the kids with plenty to keep both them and us entertained. Beautiful setting too, much better than the over-expensive character-decorated commercial venues we usually get to choose from! The Wilderness Festival sounds just the Ticket :)

  • Christine R

I like it because it’s local to where we live, so we won’t need to spend hours driving there with small children! It also sounds like it has a much wider variety of activities than standard festivals, so something for all the family to enjoy.

  • Cturnill

Fantastic setting. Loving the diverse nature of activities on offer, it’s definitely not just about the music. News things to discover, yoga sounds good and a reviving massage after a night in a tent sounds just the thing. Exploring the theatre offerings in the great outdoors would be something to look forward to. As a foodie the dining opportunities on offer are fantastic.
It is so fantastic there is something new for the whole family, young or old to try.

I love the setting and the laid back attitude of it, I could come here without fear of getting trampled on, my tent being peed on or someone drunkenly being sick on me during an evening like some other festvials!! This is a festival with style, I would love to win this.

  • Fran Light

The setting sounds lovely. We’ve camped in Oxfordshire a couple of times – it’s less than an hour’s drive from our home – and we all agreed that the best bit of both trips was the countryside :-)
