WHO needs Johnny Depp when you can get your chops around that?
Younger guests visiting The Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire this Easter may think they've tumbled through a rabbit hole as chefs prepare a magical Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the special Gleneagles afternoon teas will be sure to set the children on a gastronomic adventure.
Here's what the world-renowned hotel's PR team says about the fun event:
Eat me:
Beautifully-prepared yet suitably peculiar delicacies include Mad Hatter's Hat cake, Bread-and-Butterflies and jam tarts.
Drink me
Meanwhile for the adults, bar manager David Sinclair has created a delicious Queen of Hearts cocktail exclusively for the occasion.
Fun and games for the children don’t stop there, as Gleneagles will also be hosting Alice's croquet session on the Gleneagles lawn, playing to the fun but nonsense White Rabbit's rules. Other activities will be guaranteed to ensure even the sleepiest dormouse will want to stay awake; from pass the teapot to stick the grin on the Cheshire cat.
Beyond Alice in Wonderland
This Easter holiday, Gleneagles creates a fantastic retreat for all: Surrounded by stunning countryside and offering breathtaking views from stylish rooms, Gleneagles features an array of activities for everyone from beginners to experts, including fishing, off road driving, golf lessons, clay pigeon shooting, and horse riding.
There is also falconry and the world’s first gundog school, which gives guests the chance to work with highly trained Labradors and other breeds. The multi award-winning Spa by ESPA, which offers superb treatments for both men and women is the perfect way to unwind.
